When it comes to Canadian rock and roll one band has always been at the top of my list and that’s Big Wreck. It’s hard to believe that it’s been 20 years since Ian and the boys first hit my eardrums with epic anthems like “The Oaf”, “That Song” and “Blown Wide Open”. The songs appeared on the the group’s debut album In Loving Memory of…, the album turned 20 years old in 2017 and what better way to celebrate than a North American Tour!

The 35-date North American tour will see Big Wreck playing In Loving Memory Of in its entirety in addition to fan favourites from their vast catalogue of music. The Canadian leg of the tour will kick off January 18, 2018 in Peterborough, ON and wraps on March 10, 2018 in Los Angeles, CA. Also announced, Friday, November 3, will see the release of the band’s third single “Digging In” from their successful fifth studio album Grace Street (ole label group / Anthem Entertainment Group).

“It was obviously an important album for us because it was our first, and really put us on the map” says frontman Ian Thornley. “I think the record stands up today as well as it did then. The songs still resonate with us as much as the more recent albums. It will be fun to play a lot of these older songs that we wouldn’t get a chance to play in another setting, and a great opportunity for fans to hear them live. Can’t believe it’s been twenty years!”

Tickets go on sale to the general public November 10 at 10 a.m. local time. Further information on ticketing and VIP packages can be found here.
